Project Engineer I (Mechanical) (Ref: PD-M-PEI-CT)

• To monitor project progress and coordinate activities • To review engineering drawings, method statements, risk assessments • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chief Mechanical Engineer/ Chief Manager (Construction Management), the appointee will mainly perform the following responsibilities: • To monitor project progress and coordinate activities throughout the project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and project close-out • To review engineering drawings, method statements, risk assessments and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable standards and statutory regulations • To conduct tender evaluations and make recommendations • To liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors and other external parties to resolve environmental, quality, health and safety issues, and to ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements as well as other project objectives • To carry out inspections, supervision and coordination work at site Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience • Sound knowledge of project engineering, coordination and contract administration • Practical experience and technical knowledge of power plant equipment would be an advantage • Familiar with relevant local and international regulations, procedures, standards and codes of practice • Proficient in computer applications including MS Office, AutoCAD, BIM, etc. • Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written Candidate with less relevant experience may be considered for the position of Engineer II.
