Business Analyst (Finance & Data)

This is a hands-on project role that suits someone who enjoys blending technical BI work with business transformation in a dynamic financial services setting. Responsibilities: • Support business planning and business intelligence initiatives within the finance transformation programme • Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, including Power BI dashboards and reports • Prepare clear PowerPoint presentations for senior stakeholders and participate in review meetings • Challenge external vendors and internal teams to improve data quality, processes, and deliverables • Contribute to performance management, including BAU reporting and analysis • Perform ETL activities using tools such as Alteryx and Python • Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into practical BI and data solutions • Provide technical input and business analysis skillsets to support decision making throughout the project. Qualifications: • Solid technical skills in Power BI (dashboard development), ETL processes, Alteryx, and Python • Good understanding of finance functions, particularly business planning, performance management, and investment-related data (private assets experience is a plus) • Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex insights clearly to senior audiences • Experience challenging vendors and managing deliverables in a project environment • Strong analytical ability to work across both strategic transformation initiatives and day-to-day performance activities • Prior experience in data unification and building authoritative data sources is highly desirable • Consulting experience is desirable, with proven background in finance transformation projects
