Secondary Science Teacher

Job Description Purpose of the Role The Secondary Science Teacher at Smart Vision School is responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging, and inclusive science lessons that support the academic, social, and emotional development of secondary students. The teacher will create a positive, stimulating learning environment, fostering curiosity, investigative thinking, and a love of science. This role aligns with UK Teachers’ Standards, the KHDA Education Inspection Framework, and the UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) science curriculum, ensuring excellence in teaching, safeguarding, wellbeing, inclusion, and student achievement. The teacher will maintain effective communication with parents and colleagues and contribute to the broader SVS community. Key Responsibilities Teaching and Learning - Plan and deliver engaging and practical science lessons across all secondary year groups, aligned with school schemes of work and UAE MoE curriculum standards. - Use strong subject knowledge and effective pedagogy to inspire and challenge students in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology concepts. - Adapt lessons to meet the needs of Students of Determination, ELL learners, and students with diverse abilities. - Employ a variety of teaching strategies, including experiments, ICT, project-based learning, and inquiry-led activities to enhance understanding. - Foster independent, confident, and lifelong learners with strong scientific literacy and critical thinking skills. - Model best practice in academic integrity, investigative thinking, and creativity.
