Legal Counsel

About the Company UOW Global Enterprises (UOWGE) is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our Commercial & Legal team in Dubai. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a broad range of commercial, governance, compliance, and strategic matters within a globally connected education environment. About the Role As Legal Counsel, you will provide practical, solutions-focused legal support to stakeholders across the UOWGE Group. Responsibilities - Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements - Provide risk-based legal advice that supports business objectives while protecting institutional interests - Support governance, company secretarial, and compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions - Develop legal templates, playbooks, and self-service resources to improve legal service delivery - Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, HR, Operations, and Academic functions - Support legal operations initiatives, including digital transformation and AI-enabled legal processes - Monitor regulatory developments and provide guidance on emerging legal and compliance obligations Qualifications - A Bachelor's degree in Law and a current practicing certificate (or equivalent eligibility) - At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in commercial law Required Skills - Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills - Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities - A pragmatic, business-oriented approach to legal problem-solving - The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills - In-house legal experience - Professional Fluency in Arabic language - Multi-jurisdictional legal exposure - Higher education sector experience - Experience with legal operations, contract management systems, automation, or legal technology UOWD is an equal opportunity employer that attracts, develops,
