Junior Software / Application Engineer

As such, we seek innovative and agile people to support ambitious and forthcoming technological challenges I'm supporting a global financial services client in hiring a Junior Software / Application Engineer to join a technology team supporting enterprise applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how software works end-to-end, solving technical problems, and working closely with developers and business users. We're looking for candidates who have experience with some of the following: - Software development or application support - REST APIs, SQL and databases - Testing (unit, integration, system or end-to-end) - Troubleshooting production or application issues - Understanding system architecture and dependencies - Working across different teams to deliver software solutions 💡 What matters most isn't years of experience. We're looking for someone who genuinely understands the systems they've worked on and can clearly explain: - What they built or supported - What they personally owned - How they tested it - How they measured success - How their work contributed to the overall solution Nice to have: - Experience in banking, fintech or enterprise software - Java, Python or JavaScript - Exposure to CI/CD, cloud platforms or Linux - Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
