Junior Geotechnical Engineer

Graduate Geotechnical Engineer – Dubai ORYCTA is seeking a motivated Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join our Dubai office. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or engineer with up to two years of experience who is looking to build a career in geotechnical consulting. The successful candidate will support a range of geotechnical projects involving ground investigation, geotechnical data interpretation, foundation engineering, numerical analysis and technical reporting. The role will also provide exposure to 3D subsurface modelling, geotechnical data visualization through XPLORE, and digital engineering solutions using Python and other analytical tools. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a closely related discipline. • Strong foundation in soil mechanics, foundation engineering and ground investigation methods. • Ability to analyse and interpret geotechnical information, including borehole logs, laboratory results and in-situ testing data. • Basic experience with AutoCAD. • Good proficiency with spreadsheets and standard engineering/data-management tools. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail. • Clear and concise technical writing and reporting skills. • Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. • Willingness to be based in Dubai and occasionally attend project sites and ground investigations as required. Nice to Have • Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline. • Programming or data-analysis skills using Python, MATLAB or similar tools. • Familiarity with geotechnical numerical modelling software such as PLAXIS, FLAC, RS2/Rocscience or similar. • Academic or practical exposure to geotechnical design, including foundations, earthworks, retaining structures and slope stability. • Previous site investigation or fieldwork experience, including borehole logging, supervision of
