Graduate - Process Engineer (Wet Utilities) AECOM 4 months ago Graduates joining the business in a Graduate role and engaging in all elements of the ADVANCE program. The program is designed to introduce and build essential business and personal skills, helping to enhance the transition from student to professional. Graduates are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within the field they are joining at Graduate entry level. The ADVANCE program lasts approx. 24 months but the successful completion of the program is only to be used as an indicator for strong performance in line with other indicators (strong or above performance rating et cetera). Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment processes. Develop process flow diagrams, mass balances, and process unit sizing to optimize treatment plant performance. Develop P&IDs, process control philosophies, hydraulics calculations (gravity & pumped) to feed into design specifications and HAZOP studies. Represent the design team in HAZOP studies and design reviews with both internal and external stakeholders. Prepare technical documentation, including process descriptions, reports, and manuals. Support project teams in delivering solutions that meet regulatory, environmental, and safety standards. Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to execute project tasks and meet client requirements. Provide operational support by troubleshooting process issues and recommending improvements. Assist in the optimization of the process design to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain compliance. Stay updated on new developments and technologies within the water industry.
