Finance Associate

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience in the UAE, preferably within the construction or contracting industry. Key Responsibilities - Manage day-to-day accounting and finance activities. - Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and follow-ups. - Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and schedules. - Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing. - Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations. - Monitor project-related costs, expenses, and budgets. - Assist with project costing, cost control, and variance analysis. - Support cash-flow management and forecasting. - Coordinate with project teams, suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters. - Assist with VAT-related accounting and ensure compliance with applicable UAE requirements. - Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation and schedules. - Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records. - Assist management with financial analysis and other finance-related reports as required. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of relevant UAE experience in finance/accounting. - Construction or contracting industry experience is highly preferred. - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. - Experience with project costing and cost control will be an advantage. - Good knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices. - Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software. - Strong analytical, organizational, and reconciliation skills. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
