Business Analyst

Role Overview We are looking for a Business Analyst to work closely with customer stakeholders and project teams to understand business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable requirements for data and analytics initiatives. The role will support data catalogue, data modelling, data remediation, dashboard development, KPI definition, semantic mapping, and data publication workstreams. The Business Analyst will act as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business terms, critical data elements, ownership, classification, glossary content, and validation requirements are accurately captured and aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities - Engage directly with customer stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements. - Define and maintain business terms, definitions, and business rules. - Identify and document Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and their business significance. - Facilitate identification of data ownership, stewardship, and accountability. - Support data classification and authoritative register scope definition. - Develop and maintain business glossaries and ensure consistent terminology across stakeholders. - Define and validate semantic mappings between business concepts and data elements. - Gather and document KPI definitions, calculation logic, business rules, and reporting requirements. - Define data publication scope, target users, and business validation requirements. - Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements and user stories for technical teams. - Work with data engineers, data architects, data governance teams, BI developers, and other technical stakeholders to ensure requirements are correctly implemented. - Support data catalogue and metadata management activities by validating business context and ownership information. - Participate in data modelling discussions and ensure models align with business requirements. - Suppor
