Associate Legal Counsel

South China Group is a local Hong Kong conglomerate group, carrying on different businesses, including trading and manufacturing of toys, trading of footwear, property investment and development, agriculture and forestry, and provision of a wide range of financial services including broking, corporate advisory and underwriting, asset and wealth management etc. We are urgently looking for a high caliber candidate to join the legal team of the Group. Key Responsibilities: Assist to draft and review various commercial contracts, legal documents and in-house policies Assist to handle all investigations and enquiries from regulators of Hong Kong Assist to draft and review announcements and circulars in respect of notifiable and/or connected transactions under the Listing Rules Assist to handle all contentious litigations, including coordinating with external solicitors Carry out other ad-hoc assignments Requirements: Hong Kong solicitor having a practicing certificate, with at least 1 year’s post qualification experience. Candidates having degree in law from a common law jurisdiction will be considered as a paralegal Solid experience in handling investigations and enquiries from the regulators of Hong Kong, e.g. SFC and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong would be an advantage Excellent command of both written English and Chinese and spoken English and Cantonese Able to handle word processing , both English and Chinese, independently Remuneration Attractive remuneration package will be offered to the right candidate.
