Assistant Nurse - OPD Clinic

Provides patient-centred nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse within the Surgical Clinic. Supports patients with activities of daily living, and monitors changes in their health and functional status. Assists with assessments, documenting care, and maintains communication with the healthcare team. Adheres to legal and ethical guidelines set by American Hospital Dubai and the Dubai Health Authority, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and commits to ongoing professional development. Supports procedures, infection control, and patient safety practices, and maintains unit cleanliness. Responsibilities • Provides patient-centred nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse within the Surgical Clinic. • Assists with assessing, intervening, and evaluating patient health and functional status. • Supports patients with activities of daily living to promote independence. • Monitors and reports changes in the health and functional status of patients to the Registered Nurse. • Maintains ongoing communication with the healthcare team regarding patient care. • Provides relevant healthcare information and support to patients and their families. • Practices within the legal and ethical framework established by the American Hospital Dubai and Dubai Health Authority. • Maintains accountability for personal nursing actions and decisions. • Participates in the development and maintenance of a safe and effective practice environment. • Engages in ongoing professional development and education. • Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. • Collaborates with the healthcare team to promote a culture of safety and quality care. • Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, and mobility. • Removes peripheral Intravenous lines as instructed by the registered nurse. • Provides support and comfort to patients and their families. • Monitors and reports changes in patient
