Position Accountant/Junior Accountant Salary – 6000-8000 Location D3, Dubai, UAE Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations, and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Zoho Books, UAE VAT compliance, and sound knowledge of accounting principles. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Bookkeeping - Record and post daily accounting transactions in Zoho Books. - Pass regular journal entries for accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions, and other accounting adjustments. - Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded. - Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile supplier and customer balances. - Prepare monthly schedules for receivables, payables, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts. - Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities. Accounts Payable & Receivable - Process supplier invoices and verify supporting documentation. - Prepare customer invoices and monitor collections. - Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. - Coordinate with clients and suppliers regarding outstanding balances and payment follow-ups. VAT Compliance - Prepare and file UAE VAT returns through the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) Emara Tax portal. - Ensure compliance with UAE VAT legislation, Executive Regulations, and FTA guidelines. - Review sales and purchase transactions to ensure correct VAT treatment. - Maintain VAT working papers and supporting documentation for audits and inspections. - Assist in VAT filings, amendments, and voluntary disclosures when required. - Stay updated with amendments to UAE VAT laws and FTA circulars.
